MeI am a research assistent at the Biomedizinischen Institut/Abteilung Biophysik der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Here we investigate the cellmechanics: The mechanical stability of cells is based on the cyto-sceletal, which consists mostly of actin-filaments. During the movement, like the invasion of tumor cells. the cell has to devolop forces. The understanding of these forces, their origins and how to control them is our aim. I was once a PhD-Student at the physics department of the university of Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany). There I worked on the Compton-Camera. My special interest was the image-reconstruction for which I developed a new kind of image-reconstruction method (ITEM). Being a quite general method it is useful for kind of image reconstruction and not only limited to this ... I my free time I enjoy astronomy with my wife and friends. |
